Jit! Jit! J-J-JIT!

I’d like to give you a visual history lesson on the Jit. These videos are what make the Jit what it is today. They show where some of the moves you see younger folks doing originated.

The Jit was derived from the Jitterbug which is a dance created in the 1920s. This is a great 7 minutes of the Lindy Hop which is a version of the Jitterbug.

This is the Errol Flynn. It would just be a hand dance if he wasn’t so damn sweet!

This is The Funkateer… my man is so out cold!

    Wowzer! Swing dancing!? lol I would have never associated the two. NO wonder I’ve always wanted to learn this dance. #GOFIGURE
